Some places get into your bones. Cape Ray is one of them.
Perched at the southwestern tip of Newfoundland, where the Gulf of St. Lawrence meets the land, Cape Ray has been home to my family for generations. Every summer, I return to the wind off the water, the wide open barrens, and the people who know every rock and cove by name. It is a place that is impossible not to love.
That love is where Cape Ray Studio began.
Inspired by the natural beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador's coast — its wildlife, its landscapes, its quiet and its wildness — I started creating books and mixed media art rooted in the land and the people who belong to it. The result is a growing collection of children's books, field journals, and printable resources designed to help families discover, create, and belong to the places they call home.
